Client’s question:

Good morning, I’ve gone to a hairdresser and I am told that they put the extensions with a small braid in my hair and a knot of thread that stretches, what do you think of this method?

Nais Hair’s reply:

Indeed, some hairdressers use a rubber thread to place the extensions. This extension system is widely used in African-American and Latin American hairdressing salons. It consists of tying the extensions lock by lock to your hair. Sometimes a knot is made with the extension and a lock of your own hair. Optionally, a braid can also be made to strengthen the joint. Then it is wrapped and a knot is made with a special thread so that it does not undo the braid or the knot you made with the hair.

Advantages of knot extensions

The advantages are that it does not damage your own hair, because there is no heat, no keratin, no chemicals. Another advantage is that they can be easily removed: the thread is cut, the braid is undone and the extension comes out easily without damaging your hair. It is usually a more expensive method, because it takes much longer to place the extensions. It can take about three hours of work done by a professional, but the results are excellent.

It leaves a very natural mane because the extensions placed with this method are imperceptible. They do not cause any discomfort when combing with heat instruments. You can use the iron or the dryer without any problem, without fearing that the extensions will come loose. It is a very safe and firm method. But it is not harmful to fine and delicate hair.

Since they are placed using loose hair extensions it allows you the option to choose the virgin loose hair , which is the highest quality hair on the market.

Depending on the care given, they can last from 8 to 10 weeks.
