Virgin hair is easier to bleach and color because it does not contain color or chemicals from previous dyes. It’s like working with a new white surface. In this article we will see how to clarify virgin black hair to achieve an ash blonde. To achieve this it is necessary to first clarify before being able to apply the tone we want to reach.
Most beauty supply stores sell bleaching kits and hair coloring kits at an affordable price. You won’t have to spend too much to give yourself an exciting new look.
In this article we will explain how to bleach virgin black hair, whether you want to bleach some extensions of virgin hair, or you want to do it with your own hair. Actually the process would be the same.
How to rinse virgin black hair
Things You’ll Need
Wide toothed comb
Remove the tangles from your hair with the wide-tooth comb. Working on a smooth surface makes dyeing easier.
Separate the hair into four equal sections. Use the hair hooks to keep three of them up so they don’t bother you.
Mix the contents of the discoloration kit according to the instructions written on the package. Add the liquid color and bleaching powder to the bottle containing the developer, and shake well with gloves on. For thicker, longer hair, use two packets.
Cover the remaining section of hair with the bleach, working it with your fingers. Start at the roots, and work your way through the hair to the ends. Avoid rubbing the bleach on the scalp.
Release the hair sections one by one and spread the bleach until you have covered all the hair. Let it act for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Your hair will start to lighten and turn a coppery orange color.
Rinse the bleach with lukewarm water until it begins to come out clear. Drain excess water and apply a deep conditioner. Let it act for about five minutes before rinsing it out.
Blow dry the hair in the air, and separate the hair into four sections once again. Put on a new pair of gloves, and mix the contents of a packet of ash blonde dye. You can do this immediately after bleaching because it no longer lifts the hair color, just deposits it and won’t damage it.
Cover the first section with dye and repeat over the other three sections until all the hair is saturated. Massage the dye with your fingers. Turn your hair up, put it rolled up on the top of your head and leave it there for 30 minutes.
Rinse dye with warm water, and apply conditioner. Rinse the conditioner and comb your hair as usual.
Tips y Warnings
Wear a towel and old clothes while dyeing your hair, as they may stain.
Do an allergy test on a small portion of your scalp before dyeing.
Use the dye in a well ventilated area.
Do not apply bleach or color if your scalp has wounds and is injured.
As you can see it is not very difficult to lighten virgin black hair to make it blonde. All you have to do is follow the procedure we have detailed for you.
However, you should also know that you can choose a much simpler option, which is to buy blond extensions and modify the shade a little with a color bath. This option is less aggressive for hair extensions. Therefore, they would last longer than if you bleached some black extensions. The fading process can shorten the life of your extensions.
